William K. Browning is a Principal Attorney of Browning Hocker and has practiced as an employment litigator for his entire career, and has successfully litigated and tried a broad range of business and employment disputes, including: claims of wrongful termination, discrimination on the basis of sex, race, age, religion and national origin, retaliation, defamation, whistle blower claims, sexual harassment, wage & hour claims, unfair competition, trade secrets, privacy violations, and the host of other liability issues facing employers.
Will represents clients from individuals to large corporations in all phases of employment and business litigation. In addition to litigation, Will provides proactive counseling to clients on a broad range of employment and business issues including compliance, insurance coverage, contract disputes and other risk management issues. His counseling helps keep clients out of court, reduces costs and avoids distraction from the core functions of business.
Prior to forming Browning Hocker, Will was a Shareholder and Co-Chair of the Employment Practice Group at Klinedinst PC. He began his legal career in 1993 with the Superior Court as a Research Attorney, then worked an associate at the firms of McInnis Fitzgerald and Seltzer Caplan before forming his own firm. Before becoming an attorney, Will earned an MBA from San Diego State University, and worked in finance and management, providing a business perspective on the challenges his clients face. He is active in the San Diego County Bar Association, and admitted to practice in all California State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Central Districts of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
